A Bit About Me
I've been handling sales transactions for 30+ years, first in the field of book publishing, then the music industry and now, for the past sixteen years, in New York's real estate industry.
My success at getting to a closing table has given me experience in a wide range of transactions for my buyers and sellers: new developments, investment condos, 1031 exchanges, first-time home buyers, second-home purchases, lower and middle-income housing co-ops, luxury townhouses, estate sales, bidding wars, best and finals - I've navigated all the possibilities!
In 2011, I opened Now Real Estate, LLC, an independent brokerage based on Manhattan's Upper West Side. Prior to that, I'd been the Vice President at Anita Fischer Realty, where I was instrumental in cultivating the team that sold a Tribeca townhouse for $24,000,000, establishing a record at that time for the highest price ever garnered in that neighborhood for a single-family home.
Another career highpoint has been working with Manhattan's Housing Preservation and Development Department to overturn a co-op declination, allowing a family to achieve their goal of purchasing a two-bedroom co-op in one of Harlem's premiere middle-income housing developments. The seller's attorney at the closing table told me he'd worked with HPD "for 30 years, and I've never once seen them acknowledge a math error like the one you pointed out that led them to overturn their decision and approve the sale." Felt great!
